Email deliverability consulting: what we check, what we need from you, and when you don't need us
Evidence-led email deliverability consulting: authentication, sending setup and integrations, scoped and quoted first. Check your domain free before you ask.
DemiEmail is hands-on help with business email from Demi Solutions, the company that also makes DemiSignal and UTMTool. If your email is being rejected or filtered, your sending services are set up inconsistently, or your tools do not connect, you tell us what is happening and we agree a clear scope and price before any paid work, as the DemiEmail homepage sets out. Before you ask, though, check your domain's records with the free DemiSignal check (opens in a new tab); it may answer the question on its own.
Check whether you need a consultant first
Run the free DemiSignal check (opens in a new tab) on your sending domain. It needs no account, reads only the public DNS records of the domain you enter, changes nothing and sends no email. It runs four checks, SPF, DMARC, DKIM and MX, and each comes back as pass, warning, fail or error: a fail means the record is missing or broken, a warning is a setting that works but leaves a gap. Google, Yahoo and Microsoft require bulk senders to publish SPF, DKIM and a DMARC record and expect every sender to authenticate its email, so a fail on one of those is a good place to start. The check also points to the SPF and DMARC record generators for building a missing record yourself.
If the records are in order and mail is still bouncing or being filtered, collect the evidence before you contact anyone. The guide What to collect when email delivery fails walks through it: the exact bounce text, the full headers of a recent message, your sending platform's record of it and the time it was sent. One limit to keep in mind: a DNS finding shows how your domain is set up, not where a particular message landed. That gap, between a clean record check and a message that still does not arrive, is where consulting starts.
What email deliverability consulting covers here
DemiEmail's work covers three things, and we start with your actual setup.
Authentication. Configure or troubleshoot SPF, DKIM and DMARC across the services sending email for your business: a sending-service and DNS review, authentication setup and remediation, and verification with a documented handover.
Deliverability investigation. Investigate reported delivery problems using the available rejection messages, headers, reports and sending configuration: bounces and rejection messages, authentication and reputation findings, and prioritised, evidence-based next steps.
Integrations. Plan and implement a scoped connection or migration between your application, CRM and email-sending services: transactional email connections, custom workflows and integrations, and migration planning and validation.
We work from what can be checked, and we tell you what was confirmed and what wasn't. Mailbox providers decide where messages land; we separate what the evidence shows from what stays outside anyone's control, and we don't promise inbox placement. So you will not find an inbox placement promise on this page, or any claim we cannot observe in your setup or the evidence.
What we need from you before we quote
The first reply is more useful when the enquiry already carries the evidence. The homepage form asks what is happening, and optionally your domain and the tools that send your email; leave passwords and access credentials out. From the evidence guide, the items that matter most for one affected message are the bounce message word for word, the full headers from a recent message, your sending platform's record of it, any logs from the recipient's side, mailbox-provider data, and your domain's authentication setup. Note when the problem started and whether it affects one recipient or many.
What we work from: bounce and rejection messages, message headers, DMARC reports, DNS records and the settings of the services that send your email.
How a project runs
Three steps, and you know what we're doing, what it costs and what we need from you before the work begins.
- Describe what's happening. Use the form. Add your domain and the tools that send your email if you know them, and leave passwords and access out.
- Get a reply. Agree the scope. A person reads your enquiry and replies by email, with questions or with what a scoped piece of work would involve. We suggest a call only if it helps. Then we agree the work, required access, deliverables and price.
- Make the changes. Check the result. Paid work starts only once you accept the scope. We carry out the agreed work, validate what we can observe and explain any remaining findings.
Work is quoted after we understand the setup and scope; we confirm the price and deliverables before any paid work starts. An enquiry arrives in our inbox as an email and a person replies by email; it isn't a free audit, there's no automatic follow-up and we won't add you to a mailing list.
Consultant, tool or agency?
DemiEmail and DemiSignal divide the work by kind. DemiSignal is software for monitoring and visibility: ongoing email authentication monitoring. DemiEmail is people to help with the technical work: scoped pieces of work on authentication, deliverability investigation and integrations. You can ask DemiEmail for scoped technical help without a DemiSignal subscription, and if ongoing monitoring would be useful afterwards, that is a separate conversation.
If what you want is someone to run your email marketing on an ongoing basis, this page is not that offer: DemiEmail handles scoped technical work. DemiEmail works for businesses and for the agencies looking after them; with agencies and teams responsible for client domains, we agree who authorises the changes, the access needed and the handover before starting.
Who does the work
Jan Demsar, founder of Demi Solutions, the company behind DemiSignal, DemiEmail and UTMTool. He has built software since 2007 and has run Demi Solutions since 2010, with much of that work in marketing automation, analytics and email deliverability, and security from applications and servers to email. From 2022 to 2023 he was also CTO of Design In DC, a Washington agency.

Questions
What does it cost?
Work is quoted after we understand the setup and scope. We confirm the price and deliverables before any paid work starts, and paid work starts only once you accept the scope.
How long does it take?
It depends on the scope we agree. A person reads your enquiry and replies by email with questions or with what a scoped piece of work would involve, and we agree the work, required access, deliverables and price before paid work starts.
Do you guarantee inbox placement?
No. Mailbox providers decide how messages are handled. We investigate the available evidence, address the issues within the agreed scope and explain what remains outside our control.
What if the problem is on the recipient's side?
We tell you. We separate what the evidence shows from what stays outside anyone's control, we say what was confirmed and what wasn't, and we explain what remains outside our control.
